Alea Orange M.Ed, is a committed Student Affairs Practitioner and Educator. She received her M.Ed. in Student Affairs from UCLA and has a B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach.

Alea is passionate about holistic wellness education and programming, especially as it contributes to student development. With her experience in college access, large-scale program & event planning, and serving underrepresented student populations, she aims to be a supportive advocate and educator. She enjoys developing & leading trainings, promoting mental health & resilience education, and engaging in enlightening community building in various settings.

Favorite Self-Care Practice:I enjoy spending time outside taking walks, journaling, and doing mindfulness/gratitude practices.

Fun Fact​​​​:​ I'm a big fan of essential oils with my favorites being lavender and eucalyptus.

How would you define resilience? Resilience is the process of navigating through adversity with understanding & hope that 'this too shall pass' as you prepare for your next season.

What does wellness mean to you? Wellness describes the active pursuit of improving the areas of health in a person's life. There are 8 dimensions of wellness: mental, physical, financial, spiritual, environmental, social, occupational, & intellectual. Understanding the holistic vantage point of wellness allows us to evaluate and embrace the multi-faceted aspects of ourselves to support our growth.
