Christine King is a RISE Student Ambassador and a second-year undergraduate student pursuing a major in psychology.

Favorite self-care practice: I love pouring myself a cup of hot tea so I can slow down for a moment and relax! My favorite tea for relaxation right now is lemon ginger herbal tea.

Fun fact: I can wiggle my ears! I’m able to move them both at the same time, but I can move them individually as well. It’s a pretty random skill but a lot of fun.

How would you define resilience?

I define resilience as the human capacity to adapt and move forward when encountering difficulties. I think we practice resilience all the time when going through life, and it’s an essential skill for all the challenges we come across.

What does wellness mean to you?

To me, wellness means taking care of all aspects of your present self. I believe it's really important to cultivate wellness and incorporate those practices into your daily life!
